Diego Maradona is leaving the dugout for the director’s box.

The former Argentina great announced on Tuesday that he will become chairman of Belarusian club Dinamo Brest.

The 57-year-old Maradona posted a photo of his new contract on his Instagram, with the note: ‘Thanks for the confidence and for thinking of me.’

The 1986 World Cup champion recently finished a tenure as coach of the United Arab Emirates’ second-division club Al Fujairah. 

His contract was not extended after he failed to reach the country’s top league.

Dinamo Brest said on Twitter that Maradona signed a three-year deal, and will take up the role after the World Cup in Russia ends.
